Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in veterinary or customer service roles preferred
- Ability to work up to 20 hours per week, including nights and weekends
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Compassionate and empathetic nature
- Ability to handle stressful and emotional situations calmly
- Basic computer proficiency
- Willingness to learn and adhere to hospital procedures
- Ability to work flexible shifts
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in customer service or reception preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and compassionate in emotional situations
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Basic knowledge of veterinary terminology is a plus
- Proficient with phone systems and computer software
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Job Duties
- Greet and make friendly eye contact with clients upon hospital entry
- Offer a warm and professional acknowledgement to every individual
- Maintain a friendly smile, strong eye contact, and approachable demeanor
- Listen compassionately to clients’ concerns
- Communicate clearly, slowly, and calmly in person and over the phone
- Assess client and pet needs immediately upon arrival
- Determine urgency of emergency arrivals as stat or standard
- Respond to non-patient calls and connect callers to appropriate team members
- Confirm all appointments and provide accurate information about pet preparation
- Provide emotional support and resource materials to grieving clients
- Serve as liaison between clients and service agencies during handling of pet remains
- Ensure a complete, accurate, and compassionate process for all interactions
