Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in veterinary or customer service roles preferred
Ability to work up to 20 hours per week, including nights and weekends
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Compassionate and empathetic nature
Ability to handle stressful and emotional situations calmly
Basic computer proficiency
Willingness to learn and adhere to hospital procedures
Ability to work flexible shifts
Reliable attendance and punctuality

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Experience in customer service or reception preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to remain calm and compassionate in emotional situations
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Basic knowledge of veterinary terminology is a plus
Proficient with phone systems and computer software
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Commitment to providing exceptional client care

Job Duties

Greet and make friendly eye contact with clients upon hospital entry
Offer a warm and professional acknowledgement to every individual
Maintain a friendly smile, strong eye contact, and approachable demeanor
Listen compassionately to clients’ concerns
Communicate clearly, slowly, and calmly in person and over the phone
Assess client and pet needs immediately upon arrival
Determine urgency of emergency arrivals as stat or standard
Respond to non-patient calls and connect callers to appropriate team members
Confirm all appointments and provide accurate information about pet preparation
Provide emotional support and resource materials to grieving clients
Serve as liaison between clients and service agencies during handling of pet remains
Ensure a complete, accurate, and compassionate process for all interactions
