Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • At least 1 year previous experience working in veterinary practice or customer-facing role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Compassionate and sympathetic demeanor during emotional and stressful situations
  • Exceptional telephone and computer skills
  • Team player willing to learn new techniques and treatments
  • Flexible and adaptable

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • At least 1 year of experience in veterinary practice or customer-facing role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Compassionate and professional attitude during emotional and stressful situations
  • Exceptional telephone and computer skills
  • Team player willing to learn and adapt
  • Preferred experience with Practice Management System

Job Duties

  • Answer the practice phone and route calls appropriately
  • Maintain the hospital appointment calendar including scheduling appointments and reviewing online bookings
  • Greet all visitors to the practice and notify technical staff of arrivals
  • Monitor wait times and make accommodations during busy or emergency situations
  • Participate in training new staff members and sharing knowledge
  • Ensure the waiting area is clean and well-stocked with appropriate materials
  • Confirm all appointments by clients' preferred communication method prior to scheduled time
  • Provide backup support to technical staff when needed
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
