Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • At least 1 year experience in veterinary practice or customer-facing role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Compassionate and able to maintain professionalism in emotional and stressful situations
  • Exceptional telephone and computer skills
  • Team player willing to learn new techniques and treatments and accept change
  • Preferred previous experience using Practice Management System

Job Duties

  • Answer practice phone and route calls appropriately
  • Maintain hospital appointment calendar including scheduling and reviewing bookings
  • Greet clients and patients by name and notify technical staff upon arrival
  • Monitor wait times and accommodate as needed
  • Participate in training new staff and knowledge sharing
  • Ensure waiting area cleanliness and supply stocking
  • Confirm appointments by client preference and adjust as necessary
  • Provide backup support to technical staff with patient flow and discharges
