Job Description

Livewell is a dynamic and innovative veterinary healthcare provider dedicated to delivering exceptional care to pets and building meaningful connections within the communities it serves. As a fast-growing company specializing in comprehensive veterinary services, Livewell focuses on creating a culture of excellence, compassion, and collaboration that benefits pets, clients, and team members alike. This commitment to quality and community engagement has positioned Livewell as a trusted name in the veterinary healthcare industry, with a mission to improve pet health outcomes while fostering strong relationships between pet owners and veterinary professionals.

The role of a Livewell Hospital Manager is pivotal in establishing and growing new veterinary hospitals from inception. This full-time employment opportunity offers a unique chance to be at the forefront of launching brand-new clinics, setting a solid foundation for long-term success. The Hospital Manager is not just responsible for managing daily operations but is instrumental in building the culture, assembling high-performing teams, and creating operational rhythms that drive continuous growth. Working closely with the Founding Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) and regional leadership, the Hospital Manager will navigate the complexities of start-up dynamics with drive, resilience, and strategic vision. This position demands a high level of energy, strong leadership skills, and the grit necessary to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment.

As a Livewell Hospital Manager, you will create a community landmark by instilling a positive team culture and operational excellence. Your responsibilities will span from building the hospital's foundational expectations and standards using Livewell’s proven operational playbooks to driving community engagement through local marketing initiatives. You will lead recruitment efforts, hire support staff, and foster a workplace that promotes growth and holds team members accountable to high standards of professionalism and behavior. Financial stewardship is also a critical aspect of the role; you will manage profit and loss (P&L) performance, labor costs, and inventory controls to ensure the hospital’s financial health and sustainability. By implementing systems that uphold exceptional client experiences and proactively addressing concerns, you will help solidify the hospital's reputation for high-quality service and care.

Success in this role requires a growth mindset, effective communication, and organizational skills, along with experience in team development, financial management, and community relationship building. While previous management experience in veterinary, medical, retail, or service environments is preferred, candidates with start-up experience, particularly within veterinary medicine, will find this role exceptionally rewarding and well-suited to their skills. Joining Livewell as a Hospital Manager means taking on the exciting challenge of building something meaningful that has a lasting impact on pets, clients, and the community at large.
