Job Description
Hidden Valley Animal Hospital is a well-established small animal veterinary practice located in North Raleigh, known for its loyal customer base and commitment to providing high-quality care for pets. The hospital operates with core values focused on progressive medicine, exceptional client service, and excellent teamwork. With a team comprised of multiple doctors, registered veterinary technicians, and veterinary assistants, Hidden Valley Animal Hospital is dedicated to delivering the best possible diagnostic, treatment, surgical, and dental care to pets in a family-like environment. The practice fosters a culture grounded on the golden rule—treat others as you want to be treated—which translates into respectful and compassionate care for both animals and their owners.
As a Veterinarian at Hidden Valley Animal Hospital, you will join a growing practice supported by a tenured, friendly team and a loyal clientele who value dedicated care for their pets. This position offers a generous base salary plus production incentives, comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, ancillary coverages, and a 401k plan with company match. Additional perks include a choice of incentives such as student loan repayment, retention bonuses, sign-on bonuses, health insurance reimbursement, vacation allowances, relocation assistance, or charity donations in your name. Continuing education is highly supported with $2,000 per year allocated for CE, as well as coverage for licensing, dues, and fees. The work schedule is designed to offer an ideal work-life balance with a rotating schedule that includes 4 weekdays and alternate Saturdays.
In this role, you will perform a wide range of medical responsibilities that ensure the health and well-being of animal patients. These include conducting physical examinations, diagnostic testing, and performing medical, surgical, and dental procedures while minimizing patient stress. Strong communication skills are vital as you will educate and build strong relationships with clients by discussing pet diagnoses, treatment plans, preventive care, and nutrition. You will maintain accurate medical and surgical records as well as stay current on veterinary medical advancements. The role also involves mentoring and supporting the paraprofessional team to consistently deliver high-quality care and customer service.
The position is ideal for veterinarians who are committed to maintaining the highest standards of veterinary medicine and ethics in a collaborative, progressive environment. Candidates with specialized skills in integrative medicine, rehabilitation, or acupuncture are especially welcomed, as the hospital is eager to expand and enhance its service offerings.
