Job Description
Flagler Animal Hospital is a renowned veterinary practice located in picturesque Flagler Beach, Florida. It enjoys a unique position by blending high-quality general practice, urgent care, and emergency veterinary services with a commitment to work-life balance for its team. The hospital recently underwent a complete remodel in 2026 to create a modern, efficient environment that benefits both patients and staff alike. With 11 spacious exam rooms, dual surgical suites, a dedicated dental suite, digital radiography, ultrasound, and an in-house IDEXX laboratory, the facility is equipped with cutting-edge technology, positioning it as a leader in veterinary care in the region. The hospital organization, backed by National Veterinary Associates (NVA), is devoted to the well-being of pets and their owners, facilitating professional growth through mentorship, technology, and a collaborative culture.
The veterinarian role at Flagler Animal Hospital offers an exceptional opportunity for both experienced practitioners and new graduates seeking mentorship to thrive in a diverse caseload environment. This position focuses on delivering high-quality medical care while supporting a healthy balance between personal and professional life. The practice structure supports the veterinarian with a 2:1 technician-to-doctor ratio, enabling the doctor to focus on patient care and client communication without administrative distractions. A typical workweek consists of four 10-hour shifts, with no weekend work, and flexible scheduling options that further support work-life balance. Compensation includes a competitive base salary plus a production bonus system with no negative accrual, along with a generous continuing education allowance and significant benefits like medical, dental, and vision coverage. Additional perks include 401(k) with employer match, employer-paid short-term disability insurance, paid professional dues and licensure, and notably, no non-compete agreement. Situated in the vibrant coastal town of Flagler Beach, the veterinarian will enjoy access to a lifestyle filled with outdoor activities such as beach visits, boating, fishing, and waterfront dining. The hospital represents a dynamic blend of advanced medicine, a supportive and experienced team, and a desirable location, making it a compelling choice for veterinary professionals focused on career development and quality of life.
