Job Description

Kernersville Veterinary Hospital is a dedicated small animal hospital committed to providing compassionate and comprehensive care to pets. Located in a thriving community, this hospital has built a loyal client base through its commitment to high-quality veterinary services and a friendly, supportive environment. The hospital features two exam rooms and two surgical rooms, along with a separate dental station to ensure specialized care. Services offered include general wellness exams, dentistry, diagnostic services, surgery, laser therapy, travel certificates, and end-of-life care. Their diagnostic capabilities include in-house ultrasounds, digital radiographic diagnostics, tonopen procedures, and a fully equipped in-house laboratory. This setup allows veterinarians here to deliver a broad spectrum of veterinary medicine with precision and care.

At Kernersville Veterinary Hospital, the culture is centered around treating every patient as if they were their own pet, providing loving attention and personalized care. The team is comprised of experienced and highly trained animal lovers who strive to offer the best possible care to their patients. The veterinary professionals here enjoy a great work-life balance supported by the flexible allowance to practice medicine in their own style. New Veterinarians can quickly build their client base, thanks to the support from a well-rounded, tenured staff that ensures a smooth and efficient practice environment.

The hospital offers a unique potential ownership interest through a Joint Venture Pathway to Partnership Program or similar initiative. This program is designed to support and prepare those interested in purchasing an ownership stake in the hospital, contingent upon continued employment and good standing with the hospital. The terms of this program are subject to change at the company’s discretion and any purchase of ownership interest will be governed by terms set by the board at the time.

This role at Kernersville Veterinary Hospital involves performing physical examinations, and diagnostic, medical, surgical, and dental procedures with the highest standards of care while minimizing patient stress. Veterinarians will develop continuity of care and trust by effectively communicating with clients to ensure client retention and satisfaction. Collaboration and support in training the paraprofessional team ensure the delivery of quality care and exceptional service. Maintaining accurate client, medical, and surgical records in accordance with established protocols is also part of the daily responsibilities.

Veterinarians at Kernersville Veterinary Hospital are encouraged to stay current with new medical information and advances in veterinary medicine. They are also expected to represent the hospital positively in both the professional community and the general public, enhancing the hospital’s reputation and community engagement.

Compensation for this position ranges from $100,000 to $135,000 base salary depending on experience, with eligibility for production-based bonuses. Benefits include sign-on bonuses, health, dental, vision, ancillary coverage, 401k matching, paid time off, sick time, and paid dues and fees for state license, DEA registration, and continuing education. This job opportunity presents a rewarding career path, allowing veterinarians to grow professionally while contributing to a compassionate, pet-focused environment under the umbrella of National Veterinary Associates, a leading global pet care organization dedicated to empowering veterinary care teams and enhancing the lives of pets and their owners worldwide.
