Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of sales experience in banquet, catering, hospitality, or related industry
  • availability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • ability to travel up to 10% of the time for industry events
  • excellent communication skills
  • tech-savvy
  • strong organizational skills
  • ability to lift or move up to 40 pounds occasionally
  • standing, walking, talking, and hearing frequently required
  • close and distance vision and color vision required

Job Qualifications

  • 5+ years of demonstrated success in sales, ideally within banquet, catering, hospitality, or related industries
  • strong verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to deliver presentations with confidence
  • tech-savvy with proficiency in sales and event management software
  • excellent organizational and time management skills
  • ability to adapt and respond to everchanging priorities

Job Duties

  • Conduct outbound sales activities to generate market excitement and book business
  • generate, follow through, and close inbound leads with enthusiasm and professionalism
  • effectively sell against the competition with honest communication
  • recognize and act on upselling opportunities
  • follow up with clients after each event to strengthen relationships
  • create in-house and industry events to market the venue
  • complete contracts with customers and vendors
  • possess sound expertise in all venue systems and equipment
  • participate in weekly meetings with ownership to provide updates
  • drive and transform sales, marketing, and brand strategies into actionable plans
  • leverage industry connections to promote the venue
  • manage software critical to sales and event bookings
  • conduct unforgettable site tours with prospective clients
  • participate in budgeting, forecasting, and special projects
  • handle emergency requests and assignments
