Job Description

Moss Denver is one of Denver's most sought-after wedding and event venues, situated in the vibrant Santa Fe Art District. Known for its unique urban industrial space, Moss provides a stunning setting where couples, companies, and creative professionals can bring their boldest visions to life. This venue is highly regarded for its exceptional aesthetic and versatile space, making it a premier choice for weddings, corporate events, and celebrations throughout the Denver area. The Moss team is passionate about delivering an unforgettable experience, striving to create an environment that encourages clients to dream boldly and celebrate memorably. The company culture prioritizes creativity, ownership, and growth, promoting a collaborative and supportive atmosphere where employees can develop their skills and contribute meaningfully to the business's success.

The Venue Manager role at Moss Denver is a full-time, onsite position based in the Santa Fe Art District. This role is fundamentally about relationship-building and sales. The Venue Manager is responsible for introducing new clients to the space, guiding them from the initial tour through to the signed contract, and ensuring they feel supported throughout every step of their planning journey. Since the venue’s atmosphere and design inherently sell themselves, the key function of this role is to engage prospects, help them envision their event at Moss, and facilitate the booking process with warmth and professionalism.

Ideal candidates are early in their sales career but hungry to grow and ready to invest in building something meaningful rather than simply occupying a role. The Venue Manager works closely with the Business Development Manager, receiving mentorship and coaching to refine their sales skills and deepen their understanding of venue management. Successful candidates are those who thrive in fast-paced, client-facing environments and are eager to develop their craft in a supportive context.

Key responsibilities include leading personalized tours, managing client inquiries promptly, ensuring smooth conversion from interest to confirmed bookings, and maintaining positive client relationships through ongoing communication and detail coordination. The Venue Manager is also charged with overseeing scheduling, collaborating with preferred partners, and keeping the venue well-maintained and presentation-ready for events. While the Event Managers handle day-of event execution, the Venue Manager plays a critical role in setting the stage for success by preparing clients and the venue in advance.

Compensation for this position ranges from $50,000 to $60,000 in total earnings, which combines a competitive base salary with commission based on the events booked. This compensation structure rewards effort and achievement, offering security through a guaranteed strong base in the initial employment period and significant earning potential as the employee grows into the role. Moss Denver's unique selling proposition centers on providing a beautiful, design-forward environment paired with an ambitious, creative team that truly values its people and their development. This role offers a rare chance for a motivated sales professional to gain comprehensive venue management experience while working in one of Denver’s top event spaces.
