The Venue Hotel Manager for FIFA World Cup 26 will play a pivotal role in coordinating and managing hotel operations related to the tournament. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager VIP/Venue Hotels, the Venue Hotel Manager is integral to the Accommodation team and works closely with the Operational Services Team and various stakeholders to guarantee seamless service delivery at the venue hotels. This fixed-term contract position, located onsite in Philadelphia, requires an individual with a profound understanding of hospitality management and the ability to handle complex logistical challenges. The role demands overseeing hotel services ranging from rooming lists to food and beverage arrangements, laundry services, meeting room readiness, logistics, and daily operational reporting. The Venue Hotel Manager acts as the key liaison between FIFA headquarters, hotel management, and all functional areas involved in the event to ensure coordination and quality control.

This position also involves supervising and coordinating logistics such as storage and deliveries, handling on-site issue resolution, and managing the detailed audit and reconciliation of hotel invoices. It requires someone who excels under pressure, anticipates operational challenges, executes strategic plans efficiently, and embraces innovation and leadership. The manager is expected to support the Team Hotel Manager and VIP Hotel Manager during overlapping team arrivals and ensure all services contracted by FIFA are delivered to the highest standards, fostering a world-class guest experience that matches the stature of the FIFA World Cup.

Candidates for this role should possess a bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, leadership, or entrepreneurship, with a preference for postgraduate education focusing on international organizations or sports management. They must have at least five years of experience in a guest-related service environment, particularly with high-end or luxury hotels, demonstrating proven proficiency in managing premium guest experiences and high-profile client coordination. Fluency in English is required, with additional language skills in Spanish or French considered advantageous. Proficiency in MS Office and planning software is necessary to navigate the complex demands of the position effectively.   • Understanding of tournament operations and large-scale accommodation management
  • Fluent in English, with Spanish and/or French proficiency considered a plus
  • Proficient in MS Office and planning software including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project

Job Duties

  • Consolidate the requirements from all FIFA Functional Areas at the Venue Hotel
  • Brief the hotel on the FIFA workforce standard operations with all involved hotel departments
  • Responsible for the activation of all services reserved by FIFA at the Venue Hotel including meeting rooms, laundry, F&B arrangements
  • Coordinate and supervise all logistic operations including storage and deliveries
  • Ensure readiness of the meeting rooms and F&B services on a daily basis
  • Conduct daily reporting and meetings with FIFA HQ
  • Manage on-site issue resolution with the hotel and workforce staff
  • Manage and check rooming lists daily, ensuring rooms are ready for arrivals
  • Serve as the on-site point of contact for the Reservation team ensuring follow-ups on room inventory and releases
  • Support the Team Hotel Manager and VIP Hotel Manager as necessary
  • Monitor and verify invoices provided by the hotel, check accounts on a daily basis
  • Match final invoices to actual room usage and ensure credits and complimentary rooms are applied
