Your responsibilities extend to coordinating marketing campaigns, assisting with community-wide events, and supporting seasonal operations such as Spring Training. The Venue Coordinator position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about recreation management, community engagement, and program development.

The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Recreation or a related field, with a minimum of three years of experience in recreation or a similar area. Experience with facility management and conflict resolution is important to handle operational challenges and maintain a positive environment. Supervisory experience with full-time and part-time staff is preferred, along with proven ability to communicate professionally with clients and customers. Candidates should also have marketing experience to promote programs and events effectively. Flexibility is essential as the role requires the ability to work a seasonal year-round schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Preference will be given to those with experience in municipal or government settings, previous event management, and a background in parks and recreation.

Peoria offers employees an excellent benefits package and supports a work culture that is inclusive and community-focused. Joining Peoria means being part of a team committed to service excellence, community partnerships, sustainability, and cultural vibrancy.
