This position ensures that vending machines situated across various Church-owned locations are consistently maintained, cleaned, filled, and restocked with a variety of items such as beverages and snacks. Employees in this role perform their duties with attention to detail, aligning with the Church’s standards and procedures.

The cafeteria employee’s responsibilities go beyond just replenishing vending machines. The role involves handling considerable cash and inventory, requiring the employee to perform daily cash balancing and inventory checks to ensure accuracy and accountability. Physical stamina is an important aspect of this job because employees must move items stored on shelves ranging from 2 to 6 feet in height. Additionally, lifting up to 50 pounds independently and managing loads up to 1000 pounds with assistance is often necessary. The job also requires basic mechanical skills for performing minor repairs and maintenance on vending machines, ensuring that equipment remains in good working condition.

Mobility is another key component of the role, as employees must drive a company van to various locations within the Salt Lake Valley to service the vending machines. The position requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Experience in vending is beneficial but not mandatory, as training and supervision are provided to ensure high standards of service.
