Job Description

Enterprise Truck Rental Division, part of Enterprise Mobility, is a leading provider of transportation solutions in the truck rental industry. As a division of Enterprise Mobility, which operates globally recognized brands such as Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental, and Alamo Rent A Car, the Truck Rental Division specializes in offering well-maintained, clean, and reliable trucks to meet customer needs across a variety of sectors. Enterprise Mobility manages a diverse fleet of 2.4 million vehicles spread over 9,500 rental locations in more than 90 countries, making it one of the largest and most trusted mobility providers worldwide. Privately held by the Taylor family of St. Louis, the company continues to emphasize high service levels and customer satisfaction while fostering a supportive work environment for its employees.

The Vehicle Service Attendant (VSA) role within the Enterprise Truck Rental Division is a full-time position located at 850 West Interstate 65 Service Road S, Mobile, AL 36609. Offering a starting pay rate of $17 per hour, this position serves as a vital link in maintaining the quality and safety of the company’s fleet. The VSA is responsible for cleaning, detailing, and performing light maintenance on a diverse range of medium-duty trucks, cargo vehicles, and heavy-duty pickup trucks. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

The Vehicle Service Attendant must ensure all vehicles are clean inside and out, including windshields, windows, and mats. They will check and maintain fluid levels, perform basic mechanical tasks such as tire pressure adjustments, replace marker lights, and ensure lift gates are functioning correctly. The role also involves driving various vehicles safely around the lot and during local deliveries, necessitating a valid driver’s license held for at least one year and a clean driving record.

Additionally, the VSA is expected to maintain a clean and organized work area, keep tools and equipment in working order, and promptly report any unsafe equipment, vehicle problems, or hazardous conditions to management. An important aspect of this job is regular and reliable attendance, underscoring the critical role these attendants play in fleet readiness and operational success. This position offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 7:15 a.m. to 5:15 p.m., with weekends off, making work-life balance a priority.

Enterprise Truck Rental emphasizes compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Applicants must be at least 21 years old and qualified to drive under DOT standards, including the submission of a medical examiner’s certificate or successfully passing a DOT medical exam. The job also prohibits other paid employment outside this position to ensure full commitment and compliance with regulations.

The company is committed to diversity and inclusion, proudly serving as an Equal Opportunity Employer who welcomes applications from individuals with disabilities and veterans. In addition to competitive wages, employees benefit from an attractive package including paid time off, employee discounts, a retirement savings plan with 401k and profit-sharing, and a comprehensive health insurance package covering medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. Training and development programs support career growth, making this entry-level position a valuable opportunity for those interested in the trucking and vehicle service industry.
