Job Description

Lincoln of Bloomington is a well-established automotive dealership known for its commitment to providing exceptional customer service and premium vehicles, specifically Lincoln models. Located in Bloomington, Minnesota, this dealership prides itself on offering a welcoming environment for customers seeking luxury vehicles combined with excellent sales and service experiences. The company operates as a key retail outlet for Lincoln automobiles in the region and has built a reputation for meticulous attention to detail in vehicle preparation and customer satisfaction. Lincoln of Bloomington is dedicated to maintaining a professional dealership atmosphere and continually strives to enhance its inventory presentation and operational efficiency.

The Part-Time Lot Porter role at Lincoln of Bloomington is a crucial position that involves managing the vehicle inventory and ensuring lot operations run smoothly. This part-time position offers approximately 20 hours of flexible work per week, making it an ideal opportunity for individuals seeking a balance between work and personal life. The Lot Porter will be responsible for maintaining the appearance and organization of the dealership’s new and pre-owned vehicle inventory. This position calls for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable maneuvering a wide variety of vehicles, including cars, SUVs, and trucks.

The role requires excellent spatial awareness to safely park and move vehicles in confined or tight spaces without causing any damage. The Lot Porter will also be involved in activities such as inspecting vehicle cleanliness, installing license plates, stock tags, and window stickers, and assisting with preparations for customer deliveries and dealership displays. Additionally, maintaining clean and debris-free parking areas and assisting with snow removal during winter months are key components of this job.

Candidates for this role must exhibit strong organizational skills and be able to work independently with minimal supervision while supporting both sales and service departments by facilitating vehicle transportation and other lot-related duties. Working outdoors in various weather conditions typical of Minnesota is an essential aspect of the job, and physical stamina to endure walking, standing, bending, and being active for extended periods is required.

This position provides an excellent opportunity to work in a friendly team environment, gain experience with premium Lincoln vehicles, and enjoy employee discounts. It is well suited for individuals who take pride in maintaining a neat and orderly work area, enjoy being active outdoors, and are enthusiastic about contributing to the overall quality presentation of the dealership’s vehicle inventory. Previous dealership, valet, porter, or automotive experience is a plus but not mandatory, and the dealership values candidates with a basic understanding of vehicle features and operation.
