The Vehicle Delivery Driver role at CarMax is more than just a driving position; it is a critical link between the customer’s online purchasing experience and the exciting moment they receive the keys to their new vehicle. As a Vehicle Delivery Driver, you will operate a two-car hauler to transport vehicles safely from one location to another, ensuring that customers receive the right vehicle exactly when and where they expect it. The job involves loading and unloading vehicles, completing necessary paperwork, and verifying that each vehicle meets CarMax’s high cosmetic standards before delivery.

Additionally, you will conduct brief condition verifications on vehicles being transported to other CarMax locations and help facilitate smooth Home Delivery transactions. Given the nature of the role, adherence to all Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations is mandatory, including conducting thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complying with hours-of-service requirements. The Vehicle Delivery Driver will also serve as an ambassador for the CarMax brand, interacting with customers and colleagues alike, delivering outstanding internal and external service. This position offers a unique blend of outdoor work, physical activity—including lifting objects up to 50 pounds—and the chance to work within a supportive team environment. The role requires proficient operation of manual transmission vehicles and a willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
