The role of Vault Supervisor at Loomis involves the comprehensive oversight of vault operations, ensuring the security of cash and assets, and managing daily branch operational functions. This position demands leadership, operational expertise, and a stringent focus on safety and security. The Vault Supervisor is responsible for coordinating routes and dispatch functions, controlling operational costs, and maintaining a high standard of employee and cargo security through training, monitoring, and enforcement of established policies. Key responsibilities include accident investigation, customer service development, coordination with various internal and external stakeholders, and planning both short and long-term branch operations to meet organizational goals. The individual in this role will also be tasked with training, counseling, and evaluating employees, managing schedules, and assisting in operational decision-making. Experience in transit vault, coin vault, and cash management system operations is crucial, alongside proficiency in Microsoft Office and banking database systems. The role requires flexibility in working extended hours, including some weekends and holidays, to ensure continuous operational effectiveness. Employees must be capable of undertaking physically demanding tasks such as standing for a large portion of the day, walking between vaults and bins, and meeting the state requirements for handgun licensing. Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of operations experience in a vault, cash, or coin processing environment
  • Excellent analytical and math skills and accuracy
  • Must possess solid written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and banking database systems is required
  • Familiarity with computerized timekeeping systems and cash processing equipment is preferred
  • Must be able to work extended hours, some Saturdays, and some holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of operations experience in a vault, cash, or coin processing environment
  • Excellent analytical and math skills and accuracy
  • Solid written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and banking database systems
  • Familiarity with computerized timekeeping systems and cash processing equipment preferred
  • Ability to maintain stooped or squatting positions for several minutes
  • Ability to walk continuously between work areas
  • Ability to stand on concrete floor for approximately 80 percent of shift
  • Ability to sign and record numbers, make entries, and prepare reports
  • Meet State requirements for handgun license/permit or Security Officer Commission

Job Duties

  • Complete and maintain oversight and coordination of route and dispatch function
  • Controlling the costs of operations
  • Safety of employees, vehicles, and facilities through training, monitoring and enforcement of policies and procedures
  • Security of cargo and terminal through training, monitoring, and enforcement of policies and procedures
  • Investigating accidents and processing required paperwork
  • Developing and maintaining customer service capabilities among all operations staff
  • Responding to customer inquiries and/or complaints
