The role of the Full Time Van Driver at Driftwood Hospitality Management is vital to maintaining the seamless guest services the company is celebrated for. As the face of the hotel’s guest services, the Van Driver handles key logistical tasks such as opening and closing vehicle doors for guests, checking and moving luggage for day visitors and overnight guests, and utilizing bell carts for efficient transportation of baggage. The role also includes maintaining cleanliness and organization in the lobby and baggage areas to uphold the hotel’s presentation standards. In addition, the Van Driver supports hotel operations by restocking front desk and business center supplies and promptly reporting any safety hazards or incidents to management.
Shift flexibility is important, as the hotel operates 24/7, requiring the Van Driver to accommodate varied working days and hours. The role also emphasizes strict adherence to company safety and security policies, fire prevention procedures, and the use of protective equipment to ensure a safe workplace for all employees and guests alike. Job Requirements
- Must have valid driver license and meet company drivers guidelines
- Ability to lift and carry heavy luggage

Job Qualifications
- Valid driver license
- Previous experience as a driver or in hospitality services preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to operate bell carts and handle luggage with care
- Basic knowledge of local area and ability to provide directions
- Ability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to follow safety and security protocols

- High school diploma or equivalent
Job Duties
- Open and close vehicle doors for guests
- Check guest luggage for both day and overnight visits
- Assist guests with storing and retrieving their luggage including from their vehicle
- Utilize bell carts to transfer luggage and packages to and from rooms, vehicles, and loading areas
- Maintain and clean the designated lobby station and baggage room
- Ensure that lobby area and front exterior/interior of the hotel is neat and clean at all times by picking up trash and adjusting furniture
- Stand ready to assist guests by greeting and welcoming them
- Provide travel directions and recommendations for local attractions and restaurants
- Answer phones to assist PBX and guest calls
- Restock supplies at the front desk, business center, and grab and go areas
- Promptly report emergencies, accidents, injuries, missing articles, damage, mechanical problems, and safety hazards to management
- Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
- Adhere to hotel taxi stand requirements and agreements
- Follow all company policies and procedures
- Follow safety and security procedures and rules
- Know department fire prevention and emergency procedures
- Utilize protective equipment
- Report unsafe conditions to supervisor or manager
- Report accidents, injuries, near-misses, property damage, or loss to supervisor or manager
- Provide for a safe work environment by following all safety and security procedures and rules
- Assist other front desk personnel when needed
