The Van Driver position at Holiday Inn Express in Spokane, WA, offers an exciting opportunity to be the initial and concluding touchpoint for guests during their visit. This role is critical in creating memorable guest experiences by combining safe transportation and engaging customer interaction skills. As a Van Driver, you will have the direct responsibility of transporting guests and their belongings safely and punctually, ensuring that each guest's arrival and departure are smooth and welcoming. Your role extends beyond driving; being knowledgeable about the hotel facilities and the local area allows you to assist guests with inquiries and provide helpful recommendations, enhancing their overall stay.
This position demands exceptional customer service skills, a friendly and outgoing personality, and the ability to handle guest questions and concerns efficiently and satisfactorily. Maintaining the cleanliness and operational condition of the hotel vans, including monitoring fuel levels, is also part of the role. Flexibility is important as the Van Driver may be called upon to support other hotel departments based on business needs. Job Duties
- Transport and ensure prompt pickup or delivery of guests and their belongings
- Maintain knowledge of the hotel facilities and the surrounding neighborhood to answer guest questions and make local recommendations for places of interest
- Handle all guest complaints, questions, or requests efficiently and satisfactorily
- Ensure the vans are clean, in good condition and have adequate gasoline at all times
- Assist in other departments of the hotel based on business demands and hotel needs
