Job Description

Porters Neck Village is a distinguished senior living community known for its commitment to providing exceptional care and creating a vibrant, welcoming environment for its residents. Located in a beautiful and well-maintained community, Porters Neck Village offers a range of services designed to meet the diverse needs of seniors, including independent living, assisted living, and specialized care options. The community prides itself on embracing a culture of hospitality and genuine engagement, making it a place where residents feel valued, supported, and empowered to thrive. This dedication to quality of life and resident satisfaction is reflected in every aspect of the community's operations, from the respectful and attentive staff to the well-planned activities and amenities available to residents. With a focus on fostering meaningful relationships and enriching experiences, Porters Neck Village stands as a leader in senior living, continuously investing in its people and resources to remain at the forefront of the industry.

The role of Hospitality Focused Driver at Porters Neck Village is a unique and rewarding opportunity to be directly involved in the daily lives of seniors by ensuring their safe and comfortable transportation to various destinations such as grocery stores, monthly outings, and extended trips. This PRN (as needed) position primarily requires availability on weekends and evenings, offering flexibility for those who want to contribute to a meaningful cause while balancing other commitments. The hourly wage of $17.50 reflects the value placed on this role within the community.

As a driver, you will serve as a vital link between the residents and the outside world, helping them maintain independence and enjoy outings that enhance their quality of life. Your responsibilities will include operating different types of vehicles such as vans, buses, or automobiles according to the scheduled needs. Additionally, you will provide hands-on assistance to residents, helping them get on and off vehicles safely, managing mobility aids such as walkers, wheelchairs, and canes, and ensuring that all items purchased during outings are securely loaded for transport. This role goes beyond mere transportation; it involves creating a welcoming atmosphere that supports the community’s culture of hospitality, contributing to enhanced resident satisfaction and engagement.

Moreover, at Porters Neck Village, the business decisions made in roles like this one are integral to driving top-line revenue and occupancy, highlighting the importance of each employee’s contribution. The company embraces a set of hospitality promises that guide employees in their interactions with residents, coworkers, and guests — including greetings by name with a smile, courteous respect, proactive service, active listening, accountability, valuing differences, professionalism, and attention to detail. These principles ensure that everyone in the community feels important and well cared for.

Working at Porters Neck Village means joining a team that values recognition, growth, and community spirit. Employees benefit from numerous programs such as Team Recognition Programs, Scholarship Opportunities, Employee Referral Programs, and Annual Associate Appreciation monetary gifts. There is also a 403b Retirement Account and free access to wellness facilities including a gym, an Olympic-sized saltwater pool, and fitness classes. Another standout benefit is DailyPay, which allows employees to access their earnings on the same day they work.

If you are enthusiastic, compassionate, and passionate about hospitality and senior care, this position offers a chance to make a real difference in the lives of older adults. Porters Neck Village encourages individuals who share these values to apply and become part of a community that truly invests in its employees and residents alike.
