The Lincoln Marriott Cornhusker Hotel is a prestigious and historic hotel located in downtown Lincoln, Nebraska. The valet/shuttle driver role at the Lincoln Marriott Cornhusker Hotel offers a unique opportunity to create memorable, personalized experiences for guests. This position is essential in welcoming visitors, ensuring smooth transport services, and maintaining the professional image of the hotel. The role operates under the Guest Services Department and involves greeting and welcoming guests, handling luggage, and safely transporting guests to and from the airport or downtown Lincoln. It requires individuals who are attentive to detail, efficient in managing multiple tasks, and committed to delivering exceptional customer service in a dynamic, fast-paced hotel environment. The valet/shuttle driver not only assists guests with their vehicles and luggage but also plays a key part in making positive impressions that contribute to the hotel's reputation as a top hospitality landmark.

Key responsibilities include greeting and assisting guests during check-ins and check-outs, resolving any guest concerns or complaints effectively, and representing the hotel with professionalism and courtesy at all times. Valet/shuttle drivers must be able to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, holidays, and be prepared to work under pressure during busy periods. Physical capabilities such as lifting and carrying luggage up to 100 lbs throughout the shift are required. Drivers must have a valid driver’s license and maintain it for the duration of employment. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior hospitality or valet experience preferred
  • current valid drivers license and ability to maintain it throughout employment
  • ability to work varied schedules including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to lift, push, pull, or carry packages and luggage up to 100 lbs continuously during shift
  • ability to represent the company professionally and courteously at all times

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior hospitality or valet experience preferred
  • excellent interpersonal, listening, and communication skills
  • ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • strong customer service skills with the ability to handle guest concerns positively

Job Duties

  • Greeting and welcoming all guests
  • assisting with check-ins and check-outs
  • effectively resolving challenging guest requests and complaints
  • parking cars and making frequent trips to the airport and/or downtown Lincoln
  • lifting, carrying, and loading luggage and packages onto bell carts to transport to designated rooms
  • reading and matching luggage tags, writing claim tickets and giving portion to guests
  • attending all scheduled mandatory guest services meetings, trainings, and hotel meetings
  • performing related duties and special projects as assigned
  • representing the hotel with professionalism and decorum, especially during emergencies or busy periods
