Job Description
Community Health Network is a leading healthcare provider with over 60 years of service dedicated to offering exceptional medical care to the Indianapolis community and its surrounding areas. Established with a mission to serve neighbors for neighbors, Community Health Network prioritizes compassionate care, advanced technology, and community involvement. This network of hospitals and healthcare facilities embraces a philosophy centered on patient-first service, emphasizing personalized care tailored to meet the individual needs of every patient. As part of their commitment to healthcare excellence, Community Health Network continuously invests in state-of-the-art medical technologies and staff development programs to ensure that both patients and caregivers benefit from a modern, supportive environment.
One of the network’s key facilities, Community Hospital South located at 1402 E County Line Rd in Indianapolis, Indiana, plays a vital role in delivering comprehensive health services to the local population. Within this dynamic setting, the part-time Valet/Greeter position is essential in maintaining a welcoming and secure atmosphere at the hospital’s entrances. The role is designed for individuals who have strong interpersonal and multitasking skills and are passionate about enhancing the patient and visitor experience from the moment they arrive.
As a Valet/Greeter, your primary responsibility will be to create a safe and inviting environment for patients, visitors, and staff by managing the flow of vehicle traffic efficiently at the hospital entrance. This includes greeting guests warmly, identifying special needs, assisting with loading and unloading belongings, and providing courteous service that reflects the values of Community Health Network. You will be expected to park vehicles in designated valet spaces responsibly and safely, following valet service standards and conducting pre-parking inspections to assess and document any vehicle damage. This role requires patience, outstanding customer service, clear communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
The position operates under a variable schedule with approximately 24 hours per week during day shifts, making it suitable for candidates seeking part-time employment in a healthcare environment. This role emphasizes physical ability, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling items up to 50 pounds, combined with the need to maintain a valid Indiana driver's license with a clean driving record. Preference will be given to candidates with previous patient or customer transport experience and a chauffeur’s license. Joining Community Health Network means becoming part of a team that refers to its staff as caregivers, emphasizing empathy, collaboration, and dedication to making a positive impact in the community. We encourage candidates who are motivated by service excellence and who want to contribute to a high-quality patient experience to consider becoming a valued member of our Community Hospital South team.
