Job Description

The Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation holds a rich ancestral legacy stretching back centuries, originating as a community deeply rooted in farming, hunting, and fishing for survival. Over time, this traditional community has evolved into a contemporary Tribe that governs its Reservation while actively engaging in diverse business ventures throughout the San Diego Region. Among its most prominent enterprises are a state-of-the-art Casino and a scenic Golf Resort. The Sycuan Tribe is not merely a business entity; it embodies a strong sense of community and shared purpose. Employees across various divisions, whether in gaming, hospitality, or tribal governance, are considered part of the Sycuan family, fostering an inclusive, team-oriented atmosphere.

Joining the Sycuan Tribe as a Valet/Bell Attendant means stepping into a pivotal role where guest service excellence is paramount. This position is designed for individuals who thrive in a dynamic, people-focused environment and take pride in delivering exemplary service from the moment guests arrive to their departure. The Valet/Bell Attendant will be responsible for parking vehicles with meticulous care, assisting guests with their luggage, facilitating smooth transportation on and off-site, and ensuring that team members safely arrive via shuttle services. Acting as the face of the resort, the attendant welcomes guests warmly and ensures an exceptional experience by offering bell services and managing various guest interactions with professionalism and courtesy. This hourly role includes participation in a tip pool, reflecting the importance of guest satisfaction in the daily operations of the enterprise.

The role's duties are diverse, including valet parking, guest relations, bell and door services, monitoring shuttle routes, and adhering to transportation safety protocols. The Valet/Bell Attendant is entrusted with using the Computerized Valet Parking System to record vehicle information accurately, responding promptly to guest needs, and collaborating closely with the Transportation Shift Manager. The position demands physical stamina, effective communication skills, and the ability to remain composed under pressure. Familiarity with vehicle operation, guest service etiquette, and safety standards is essential. A valid California Driver’s License and some customer service experience form the baseline requirements, while experience in bell or door services and the gaming environment are desirable assets.

This opportunity offers individuals passionate about hospitality and transportation services a chance to contribute meaningfully to the Sycuan community while developing their careers in a supportive and vibrant setting. If you enjoy interacting with guests, ensuring safety and satisfaction, and being part of a team dedicated to excellence, the role of Valet/Bell Attendant at Sycuan represents a rewarding career path.
