Job Description
Haven Health is the largest rural healthcare provider of skilled nursing and rehabilitation throughout Arizona. Established as a trusted and compassionate healthcare institution, Haven Health serves as a vital resource for communities seeking high-quality care and support. The company is dedicated to fostering a welcoming and supportive environment for both residents and staff, emphasizing a mission to be the provider of choice while creating a gathering place for caring professionals. This commitment translates into personalized care and rehabilitation services tailored to meet the unique needs of patients, promoting their well-being and enhancing their quality of life in a safe and friendly environment.
The role of the Valet at Haven Health is essential in supporting the daily operations of the nursing care facility by providing limited yet impactful assistance to residents and clinical team members. Reporting directly to the Director of Nursing, the Valet functions in a concierge-style capacity, playing a critical role in ensuring residents’ rooms are properly prepared and maintained with clean bedding and appropriate room setup. This position is more than just a support role; it contributes significantly to the residents’ comfort and the efficiency of clinical services.
The Valet is responsible for attending to call lights by promptly answering and relaying the requests to certified or licensed clinical staff, facilitating timely care responses. Additionally, the role includes assisting with nourishment carts, ensuring residents receive their meals and refreshments smoothly. Beyond these duties, the Valet frequently pushes and positions wheelchairs, assisting residents with mobility as needed and helping maintain a safe, accessible environment. This variety of tasks requires a reliable, attentive individual capable of performing physical activities such as moving, lifting, and transferring weights of at least 50 pounds. Communication skills are also critical, as the Valet must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English to effectively interact with residents, team members, and supervisors.
Haven Health ensures all employees meet important health and safety requirements, including fingerprinting clearance cards (or eligibility to obtain one), background screening, licensure verification (if applicable), tuberculosis testing, and drug testing. Employee health screening is conducted after hiring to maintain a safe workplace for everyone. The Valet role does not require advanced clinical expertise but does demand a strong sense of responsibility, empathy, and teamwork to support the healthcare professionals and contribute to a caring environment.
This position offers the opportunity to be part of a reputable organization that prioritizes quality care and professional growth in the healthcare sector. If you are compassionate, diligent, and eager to support a team dedicated to improving lives, the Valet position at Haven Health is an excellent fit to begin or continue your journey in healthcare support services.
