This role is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to join a lively and fast-paced work environment where teamwork and guest satisfaction are paramount. As a Valet Runner, you will play a critical frontline role as the first and last point of contact for guests arriving at and departing from the theme park. Your responsibilities will focus on providing outstanding guest service by professionally greeting visitors, handling their vehicles with utmost care and efficiency, and ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience from start to finish. This demanding position entails managing high-pressure situations while maintaining a calm, courteous demeanor.

Your duties will include greeting guests, opening vehicle doors, explaining valet pricing, inspecting vehicles for damages, safely parking vehicles, and promptly delivering them upon guest departure. Additionally, you will be expected to monitor vehicle maintenance needs, swiftly address guest concerns and complaints, and uphold safety standards and protocols in an environment that can be influenced by varying weather conditions and high noise levels. Success in this role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to collaborate closely with team members, and a commitment to fostering a safe and secure atmosphere for guests and staff alike.

The scheduled work involves flexibility, requiring availability across mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays throughout peak seasons, with a minimum commitment of four days per week. This position offers competitive compensation starting at $19 per hour plus tips, with pay rising to $23 per hour plus tips after accruing 1,000 hours worked. Job Requirements

  • Must be able to walk or stand for extended periods of time
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25lbs, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs with assistance
  • The noise level is generally moderate to high
  • Team members are subject to a variety of weather conditions, including but not limited to: heat, sun exposure, cold, and inclement weather
  • Depending on the assigned location, work can be almost exclusively outdoors
  • Must be available to work at least 4 days per week throughout the peak seasons to include a rotation of mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years old or older
  • CA Class C driver’s license required
  • Driving record, with no more than one point, must be provided
  • Must be able to drive manual transmission

Job Duties

  • Greets guests, opens all vehicle doors, informs guests of valet prices and vehicle pick up information in a friendly and professional manner
  • Inspects vehicle for damages, notes damages on paperwork, and collects keys from guest
  • Takes vehicle to available parking space, parks vehicle, writes name on window and key tickets, and notes parking location
  • Leaves keys and inspection paperwork at the valet cashier window for processing and intake
  • Retrieves guest vehicle and delivers in a timely, safe manner
  • Reports maintenance issues that surface and follows up to ensure appropriate action is taken immediately
  • Resolves guest complaints in a timely manner or refers issues to the appropriate level team member for resolution
