We are currently seeking dedicated and energetic Valet Runners who will be the first and last point of contact for our guests, creating seamless and welcoming experiences upon their arrival and departure. This role is pivotal in ensuring that vehicles are handled efficiently and safely while guests receive friendly and professional service. The position requires a reliable individual capable of working various shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays during peak seasons. Candidates must be at least 18 years old, possess a valid California Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record, and have the ability to drive manual transmission vehicles. Physical stamina is necessary as the job entails standing or walking for extended periods and lifting or moving items up to 25 pounds, sometimes with assistance. A dedication to safety standards and the ability to handle guest interactions with a calm and confident approach is required.

Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years old or older
  • Possess valid California Class C Driver's License
  • Driving record with no more than one point
  • Able to drive manual transmission
  • Must be able to walk or stand for extended periods
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 25lbs, frequently lift and/or move up to 25lbs with assistance
  • Ability to work in moderate to high noise levels
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Must be available to work at least 4 days per week including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays during peak seasons

Job Duties

  • Greets guests, opens all vehicle doors, informs guests of valet prices and vehicle pick up information in a friendly and professional manner
  • Inspects vehicle for damages, notes damages on paperwork, and collects keys from guest
  • Takes vehicle to available parking space, parks vehicle, writes name on window and key tickets, and notes parking location
  • Leaves keys and inspection paperwork at the valet cashier window for processing and intake
  • Retrieves guest vehicle and delivers in a timely, safe manner
  • Reports maintenance issues that surface and follows up to ensure appropriate action is taken immediately
  • Resolves guest complaints in a timely manner or refers issues to the appropriate level team member for resolution
  • Promotes and provides extraordinary guest service for both internal and external guests, answers questions, offers information, and provides assistance in a courteous manner
  • Understands and demonstrates the proper use of safety practices and ensures department standards are maintained and safety policies are upheld
  • Provides excellent customer service by assisting guests with inquiries, resolving complaints, and addressing concerns related to cash transactions while maintaining a high level of professionalism
  • Monitors and maintains a safe and secure environment for both team members and guests of all ages, following all company guidelines and protocols
  • Identifies, de-escalates, and resolves conflicts or disturbances professionally and effectively to maintain a positive atmosphere
  • Provides a positive and welcoming experience for guests of all ages while maintaining composure during difficult interactions
  • Maintains a high level of trust and integrity to promote a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for customers and colleagues of all ages
  • Performs other duties as assigned
