The Valet position at ABM is an excellent entry-level opportunity for individuals just beginning their professional careers or those returning to the workforce with limited experience or education. This role is ideal for candidates who thrive in customer-facing environments, enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions, and are committed to providing exceptional, courteous, and compassionate guest services. Valets at ABM coordinate the flow of traffic, manage parking efficiently, and interact warmly with guests to enhance their experience. The position requires handling responsibilities such as communicating valet procedures, assisting guests with their vehicles, monitoring parking areas, securing guest keys, and managing payments and tip pools accurately.
Valets are integral to ABM’s parking service operations and play a key role in maintaining safety and order in parking lots by obeying all traffic and pedestrian regulations. The role demands physical stamina to work outside for extended periods and the ability to operate a variety of vehicles with both automatic and standard transmissions. Additionally, the Valet is expected to keep their work area clean and free from debris, predict and communicate traffic flow peaks to avoid congestion, and arrange for support during high-demand times.

Job Duties
- Coordinate traffic flow
- Communicate valet procedure, information and directions clearly and effectively with guests
- Understand and respond appropriately to basic customer and team member inquiries
- Monitor illegal parking and immediately store vehicles
- Interact with guests in a friendly manner
- Assist guests with loading and unloading
- Collect and secure guest keys
- Predict and communicate traffic flow peaks and lot issues
- Identify and arrange for extra support for extended wait times
- Accurately tally and split the tip pool
- Receive and receipt a variety of valet payments
- Accurately reconcile and report daily revenue
- Project currency and coin requirements and re-order as necessary
- Operate, park and retrieve all vehicles in a safe manner by obeying all traffic laws, facility policies, and applicable pedestrian regulations
- Work in an outdoor unprotected environment in all climates for extended periods of time
- Keep work area clean of debris
