Job Description
Towne Park is a distinguished hospitality services company dedicated to creating exceptional experiences for patients, visitors, and guests across various locations. Founded on the principle of making a positive impact, Towne Park has built a reputation for delivering compassionate and attentive service that goes beyond simple job functions to genuinely brighten the days of those they serve. Whether easing the anxiety of patients and their families, welcoming guests to new cities, or supporting colleagues, Towne Park emphasizes the value of every interaction in making a meaningful difference. The company is an industry leader in parking and hospitality services, known for its commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction. Working at Towne Park is not just about employment; it is about joining a team passionate about creating smiles and enhancing guest experiences through dedicated, professional service.
The role of a Traffic Coordinator at Towne Park is an exciting opportunity to be at the frontline of delivering outstanding hospitality while managing the efficient flow of vehicular traffic. This position is based at OSU Wexner Medical Center, where the Traffic Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring smooth and safe traffic operations within designated areas. Starting pay for this role ranges from $16 to $18 per hour, appealing to candidates with or without prior experience, as no previous experience is necessary. The work schedule primarily includes weekdays with some weekend shifts, focusing on day shifts typically between 6 am and 8 pm.
As a Traffic Coordinator, you will be responsible for directing vehicles and providing exceptional customer service to patients and guests. This includes issuing valet parking tickets following set mystery shop standards, upholding site management policies, and when required, parking and retrieving guest vehicles safely and efficiently. The role may also require assisting guests with their luggage upon arrival and departure, adding a personal touch to the overall guest experience. This position demands a combination of attentiveness, friendly communication, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously under pressure while maintaining professionalism. Towne Park supports its employees by offering benefits such as accident, critical illness, and hospital indemnity insurance, telemedicine services, and a 401(k) retirement savings plan, though eligibility depends on job classification and employment duration. Seasonal or temporary employees may not be eligible for these benefits.
In this role, you will engage directly with guests, utilizing courteous communication techniques like using guests’ last names when appropriate and offering helpful information about the surrounding area and local attractions. Maintaining guest confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations is also a crucial aspect of the job. The Traffic Coordinator’s performance impacts overall department efficiency and guest satisfaction levels, requiring a conscientious, proactive approach. Employees must be physically capable of standing for extended periods, running or walking as needed, and handling objects or controls related to vehicle management, sometimes under challenging weather conditions. The role also requires employees to be able to drive manual transmission vehicles and perform parallel parking.
Towne Park provides a supportive work environment that accommodates individuals with disabilities, ensuring all employees can perform essential job functions effectively. The company values employees who demonstrate reliability, friendly service, and a commitment to upholding Towne Park’s standards of hospitality and safety. Joining Towne Park as a Traffic Coordinator means becoming part of a team devoted to delivering memorable, high-quality service experiences that positively affect countless visitors and patients every day.
