The current opportunity is for the position of Hospital Valet Driver at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester. This role is vital in providing excellent hospitality and parking services within a busy hospital environment where guests expect timely and courteous assistance. The Hospital Valet Driver is responsible for parking and retrieving vehicles safely, assisting with luggage, and offering helpful information about the facility and surrounding area. No prior valet experience is necessary, as candidates will be trained to meet Towne Park's high standards of guest service and vehicle handling. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state of employment or within a commutable distance
- One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of customer service principles and processes
- Ability to read, write and comprehend English language
- Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
- Ability to perform parallel parking
- Ability to physically lift up to 100 pounds occasionally
Job Qualifications

- One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state of employment or within a commutable distance
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
- Ability to read and write standard English language

- Ability to write simple correspondence

- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using American money
- Ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
- Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
- Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
- Ability to perform parallel parking
Job Duties
- Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers and clients
- Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet using guest last names
- Use salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location
- Practice proper Towne Park phone etiquette
- Post up in designated areas when not completing tasks
- Park and retrieve vehicles safely while driving slowly and cautiously
- Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed
- Open vehicle and hotel doors for guests
- Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries
- Provide information about facility outlets, meeting rooms and amenities as well as local attractions
- Deliver messages, items and guest amenities as requested
- Shuttle guests to approved places
- Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests
- Issue claim checks after receiving vehicle keys and collect claim checks prior to returning keys
- Maintain accurate ticket information including key tag, guest folio, vehicle location, damage survey and claim check receipt
- Calculate and collect revenue for vehicles when needed
