The company is currently seeking dedicated and customer-oriented Valet Attendants to join its Norwalk, CT team primarily for day shifts with flexibility required. Valet Attendants are the face of the company as they greet and assist customers, ensuring their vehicles are safely parked while maintaining high standards of professionalism and efficiency. The position offers a base pay rate starting at $16.94 per hour plus tips averaging $3 to $6 per hour, enabling attendants to earn between $20 and $22 per hour or more initially. VPA also offers weekly payroll via check, direct deposit, or pay card, providing employees with timely access to their earnings.
In this role, attendants will be responsible for managing vehicle parking and retrieval swiftly while maintaining a friendly demeanor. Working outdoors throughout the shift, employees must be prepared to handle varying weather conditions without compromising service quality. The physical demands include extended periods of standing, running to assist customers, and lifting various personal items such as wheelchairs, strollers, and baggage. Valet Attendants must be able to drive standard transmission vehicles and are required to have a valid Class D driver’s license held for at least one year with a clean driving record. Experience in customer service is essential to ensure successful interaction with clients and coworkers.

Job Requirements
- Be able to drive a standard transmission vehicle to the satisfaction of management
- Have your own transportation
- Have experience working in customer service
- Be over the age of 18
- Hold a valid Class D license for at least one year
- Pass a driving record check
- Stand for at least 8 hours a day
- Run up to 100 yards repeatedly throughout the shift
- Enter and exit vehicles frequently
- Lift wheelchairs, strollers, baggage and other items
- Communicate effectively in English
- Work outdoors regardless of weather conditions
- Be available to work weekends and holidays
- Undergo a criminal records check
- Maintain neat appearance and positive attitude
- Complete four training shifts
- Understand employment is probationary for the first 30 days
Job Qualifications
- Valid Class D driver’s license held for at least one year
- Able to drive standard transmission vehicles to management’s satisfaction
- Experience working in customer service
- Over 18 years of age
- Clean driving record
- Effective communication skills in English
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Job Duties
- Greet and assist customers promptly
- Park and retrieve vehicles safely
- Maintain a visible and professional presence at all times
- Run back to the station quickly to assist the next patron
- Communicate effectively with customers and coworkers in English
- Prepare vehicles for customers’ return, ensuring all items are handled carefully
