This particular position is located at the JMS Burn Center and offers a competitive pay rate of $15.00 per hour. The shift for this role operates Monday through Friday from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm, providing a stable work schedule that supports work-life balance. The job opening is for a valet attendant responsible for delivering outstanding personal vehicle parking and retrieval services for guests. This role is customer-facing and requires a friendly, courteous, and professional attitude to ensure guests receive exceptional service from arrival to departure.

A valet attendant plays a crucial role in managing the guest’s parking experience by promptly taking keys, assisting with luggage and belongings, and safely parking vehicles in designated areas close to the establishment. When guests return, attendants efficiently retrieve their vehicles and assist them back into their cars. In addition to driving responsibilities, attendants are also tasked with managing wheelchair availability, handling claim tickets, and ensuring the security and organization of keys and parking areas. This position demands strong communication skills due to frequent interactions with guests and staff who may have inquiries about parking and related services.

Essential job functions include greeting customers courteously, managing traffic flow and barricades to maintain safety, and assisting team members with various duties as needed. Candidates must display the ability to perform basic math without a calculator to handle logistical responsibilities effectively. Physical demands require the individual to remain stationary for extended periods, work outdoors regardless of weather conditions, and possess the strength to lift or move items weighing up to 50 pounds. The role also demands good visual acuity for accuracy and neatness in task completion and clear speech for conveying instructions precisely.

Applicants must hold a high school diploma or GED and possess a valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record (MVR). Successful candidates will be able to pass a 7-year/7-county criminal background check, motor vehicle report review, and drug screening. Previous customer service experience is preferred along with the ability to drive a standard transmission vehicle. Completion of Defensive and Distracted Driving courses is mandatory to ensure the safety of guests and staff.
