ABM is committed to fostering an inclusive workforce and is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer. The company actively supports candidates regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other protected factor under federal, state, or local law. ABM also emphasizes providing reasonable accommodations to individuals with disabilities and encourages those who need assistance during the application process to reach out for support. Additionally, as a military-friendly organization, ABM offers veterans and those with military experience opportunities to transition into civilian roles with a world-class training program that leverages the skills developed during military service. The company participates in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security E-Verify program, ensuring employment eligibility in a secure and respectful manner.
The Parking Cashier role at ABM is ideally suited for individuals entering or re-entering the workforce who may have limited prior experience or education. This position is essential in ensuring smooth and efficient handling of cash and electronic transactions with parking customers. The role requires a person who can approach and greet customers in a warm, professional manner while providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities include issuing and collecting visitor parking tickets, matching tickets to the appropriate parking rate schedule, and accurately collecting payments and providing change. The Parking Cashier is also responsible for reconciling cash and receipts at the end of a shift, completing lost ticket forms when necessary, and maintaining an orderly and safe work environment.
Success in this role depends on clear and respectful communication with guests, clients, and team members, as well as following company procedures and safety regulations closely. The Parking Cashier should be proactive in reporting any accidents, incidents, or safety concerns without delay. This role requires attention to detail, honesty, and reliability as it involves handling funds and adhering to stringent cash management protocols. ABM values individuals who are quick to respond to customer needs and problems and who can relay relevant information to supervisors or operations management efficiently.
