The Guest Service Associate role at Towne Park is a vital position responsible for delivering exceptional hospitality services with an attentive, friendly, and efficient approach. This role involves parking and retrieving guest vehicles safely and promptly while providing assistance with guests’ luggage during arrivals and departures where applicable. The associate serves as the face of the company, maintaining a pleasant and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients, and greeting guests warmly using their last names to personalize the experience. The position demands excellent customer service skills, attentiveness, good communication, and the ability to anticipate and respond to guest inquiries and needs.

Key responsibilities include parking and retrieving vehicles safely while driving cautiously and slowly, assisting guests with bell services such as luggage storage and delivery, and ensuring the smooth operation of valet services including issuing claim checks and accurately maintaining ticket information for each vehicle. The Guest Service Associate also provides guests with valuable information about the venue’s outlets, amenities, and main attractions, arranges transportation services, and ensures guests are welcomed courteously upon arrival. Operational knowledge covers understanding parking rates, proper collection of fees, and compliance with company policies ensuring efficient and guest-focused services.

This position demands physical stamina and the ability to handle the physical requirements of the job, such as standing or walking for extended periods, lifting luggage or equipment up to considerable weight, and working outdoors in various weather conditions. The role may include occasional travel and requires valid licensure and the ability to operate motor vehicles, preferably with the skill to drive manual transmissions and perform parallel parking. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license for state applied to work or within commutable distance
  • One month related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to operate a vehicle safely
  • Ability to perform various physical tasks including lifting up to 100 pounds
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Must hold a valid driver's license for the state you are applying to work or within a commutable distance
  • One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
  • Ability to read and write standard English language
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings to guests, clients and other employees
  • Ability to add and subtract three digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's using American money units
  • Ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
  • Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
  • Ability to perform parallel parking

Job Duties

  • Maintains pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers and clients
  • Acknowledges and greets guests within five feet with a professional and friendly demeanor
  • Uses guest last names during interactions
  • Uses salutation of the day and welcomes guests to the location
  • Practices proper Towne Park phone etiquette
  • Parks and retrieves vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
  • Assists guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed
  • Opens all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
  • Assists guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries
  • Provides guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms and/or amenities of the facility as well as main attractions in the area
  • Delivers messages, items and/or guest amenities as requested
  • Shuttles guests to appropriate places approved by the location
  • Explains parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival
  • Issues claim checks after receiving vehicle keys and collects claim checks before issuing keys
  • Completes and maintains all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, location of vehicle, damage survey and claim check receipt
  • Calculates and collects revenue for vehicles when needed
