The Valet Key Booth Attendant role at the Silver Legacy is a vital part of the guest experience, ensuring smooth, efficient, and courteous valet service primarily during graveyard shifts. This full-time, on-site position focuses on managing the valet key system, greeting guests professionally, assisting with vehicle and luggage logistics, and maintaining the valet office environment. The role requires meticulous attention to detail to hang keys correctly, organize valet tickets, and ensure accurate vehicle retrieval. Job Requirements
- Ability to understand and comply with all company and departmental rules and regulations, policies and procedures
- Constant direct contact with guests
- Fast paced work area that requires directing guests and answering guest questions
- Work may be performed in confined areas, entail various conditions of hot, cold, noisy, smoky, dimly lit or brightly illuminated, moving objects, slippery surfaces and exposure to solvents/oils, fumes/odors, dirt/dust
- Work requires knowledge and use of electrical, mechanical and computer equipment and flame/heat generated devices
- Work may include shift work and be performed inside and outside
- Position requires Team Member to enter and exit from the Team Member entrance which entails 2 flights of stairs
- Requires seldom bending over, crouching, kneeling, pushing/pulling, lifting/carrying up to 75 lbs., driving
- Occasional sitting, standing, walking, balancing
- Frequent repetitive use hand with light/firm grasping, finger dexterity, near/far vision acuity, depth perception, field of vision and absence of color blindness
- Must be able to perform simple tasks, compile, coordinate, analyze, instruct others and drive a vehicle, follow instructions, influence others, meet time requirements
- Must have simple reading, writing, math, clerical, memorization, problem solving, use of independent judgment and decision making skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to competently hang keys on the correct hook
- Ability to visually recognize numbers
- Ability to instruct, listen, divert, persuade, speak clearly and assist guests
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to provide internal and external guests with service excellence
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to meet schedule flexibility including days off, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
Job Duties
- Hang keys on the keyboard on the proper hook
- Remove keys from the keyboard and properly match to the valet ticket numbers
- File the valet tickets in the ticket rack provided
- Answer phones
- Maintain valet office cleanliness
- Sweep and wipe cabinets clean
- Keep the valet office door closed when absent from the office
- Monitor area outside valet office to ensure guests do not park their vehicle without leaving their keys with valet
- Move luggage and or contact a bell person for assistance
- Pull luggage out of the luggage room for guests when bellmen is unavailable
- Drive guests with oversized vehicles to the employee lot and return guests to their vehicles
- Proper and safe use of the man-lift
