The work schedule for the Guest Service Associate role is Monday through Friday, from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, providing a consistent routine for employees.

The Guest Service Associate plays a vital role within Towne Park by providing exceptional hospitality services to guests with an attentive, friendly, and efficient approach. This position requires the associate to park and retrieve guest vehicles promptly and safely while assisting guests with luggage during arrivals and departures where applicable. Responsibilities include greeting guests warmly as they arrive, acknowledging them within five feet, and using their last names to create a personalized experience. The associate also handles guest inquiries, provides directions, assists with taxi arrangements, and helps guests with reservations and local information. Maintaining professionalism and composure at all times, the associate upholds Towne Park's high service standards. Additionally, the role involves managing parking rates, issuing claim checks after vehicle keys are received, and ensuring the accuracy of all ticketing information. The associate must be able to safely operate vehicles, including performing tasks such as parallel parking and, ideally, driving a manual transmission. Physical demands are significant, requiring the ability to exert force up to 100 pounds occasionally and endure extended periods outdoors in various weather conditions. Overall, this role is critical for delivering a seamless guest experience and maintaining operational efficiency at Towne Park's parking locations.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • must hold a valid driver's license for the state applying to work or within a commutable distance from the state
  • one (1) month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
  • ability to read and write standard English language
  • ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
  • ability to write simple correspondence
  • ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests, clients and other employees
  • ability to add and subtract three digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
  • ability to perform these operations using units of American money
  • ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
  • ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
  • ability to perform parallel parking
  • valid driver's license is mandatory
  • ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable

Job Duties

  • Maintains pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients
  • acknowledges and greets guests within five feet with a professional and friendly demeanor
  • uses guest last names during interactions
  • uses salutation of the day and welcomes guests to the location
  • practices proper Towne Park phone etiquette
  • posts up in designated areas when not completing tasks
  • parks and retrieves vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
  • assists guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed
  • opens all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
  • assists guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries
  • provides guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms and/or amenities of the facility as well as main attractions in the area
  • delivers messages, items and/or guest amenities as requested
  • shuttles guests to appropriate places that are approved by the location
  • explains parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival
  • issues claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collects claim checks from all guests prior to issuing keys
  • consistently completes and maintains all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, location of vehicle, damage survey and claim check receipt from all vehicles taken into the valet system
  • consistently completes location on all key tags after parking vehicle
  • calculates and collects revenue for vehicles when needed
