The Guest Service Associate position at Towne Park is a critical role responsible for creating memorable guest experiences through attentive, friendly, and efficient hospitality services. This role involves greeting guests warmly, assisting with luggage, providing directions, and managing the safe parking and retrieval of vehicles. The associate plays a key part in representing Towne Park’s values by maintaining professionalism and courtesy while performing all duties. This position offers a competitive hourly wage of $19.29 plus tips and is open for all shifts including overnight hours, catering to a flexible workforce. As a Guest Service Associate, the individual will handle several responsibilities with precision and care. These include welcoming guests promptly with a friendly attitude, using guest names during interactions to personalize service, explaining parking procedures and rates, issuing and collecting claim checks, and ensuring all vehicle information is accurately recorded. The associate also assists guests with shuttle services and luggage, maintains the appearance of designated areas, and responds to guest inquiries about the facility and local attractions. Safety is paramount as the associate is expected to park and retrieve guest vehicles carefully, operating manual transmissions and performing parallel parking as required.

Physical demands of this job include the ability to exert various levels of force, sometimes lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally and standing or walking for extended periods, often in outdoor environments subject to extreme weather conditions. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license for the state or a commutable distance
  • At least one month of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of customer and personal service principles
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend standard English
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • Understanding of 24 hour and military time systems
  • Ability to operate manual transmission and perform parallel parking (highly desirable)

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Must hold a valid driver's license for the state you are applying to work or within a commutable distance
  • One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
  • Ability to read and write standard English language
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information one-on-one and in small groups to guests, clients and employees
  • Ability to add and subtract three digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
  • Ability to perform these operations using units of American money
  • Ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
  • Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
  • Ability to perform parallel parking

Job Duties

  • Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers and clients
  • Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet with a professional and friendly demeanor
  • Use guest last names during interactions
  • Use salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location
  • Practice proper Towne Park phone etiquette
  • Post up in designated areas when not completing tasks
  • Park and retrieve vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
  • Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed
  • Open all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
  • Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries
  • Provide guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms and/or amenities of the facility as well as main attractions in the area
  • Deliver messages, items and/or guest amenities as requested
  • Shuttle guests to approved places
  • Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival
  • Issue claim checks after receiving vehicle keys
  • Collect claim checks from all guests prior to issuing keys
  • Complete and maintain all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, location of vehicle, damage survey and claim check receipt
  • Consistently complete location on all key tags after parking vehicle
  • Calculate and collect revenue for vehicles when needed
