The Guest Service Associate is a key role at Towne Park, designed for individuals who are passionate about hospitality and customer service and who enjoy being directly involved in guest interactions. This position requires an individual who is attentive, friendly, and efficient in delivering outstanding service. Responsibilities include parking and retrieving guest vehicles in a safe and timely manner, assisting guests with their luggage, and providing information about the facility and local attractions. A significant portion of the role involves greeting guests warmly, handling vehicle valet services with care, and ensuring communication processes like issuing claim checks and managing parking tickets are accurate and professional. The ideal candidate will possess interpersonal skills that allow them to interact courteously with guests and co-workers, as well as practical skills such as operating vehicles with caution and understanding parking procedures. Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED
- valid driver’s license for the applicable state or a commutable distance
- one month related experience or training or equivalent education and experience
- ability to read, write and comprehend English
- basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
- ability to perform parallel parking
- physically able to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally
- able to work extended periods outdoors in varying weather
- willingness to follow established practices and procedures under frequent supervision
- reliable and punctual
- good communication skills
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- must hold a valid driver’s license for the state you are applying to work, or within a commutable distance from the state you are applying to work
- one month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
- ability to read and write standard English language
- ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
- ability to write simple correspondence
- ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
- ability to add and subtract three digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s including units of American money
- ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
- ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
Job Duties
- maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, coworkers and clients
- acknowledge and greet guests within five feet using professional and friendly demeanor and guest last names
- use salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location
- practice proper Towne Park phone etiquette
- post up in designated areas when not completing tasks
- park and retrieve vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
- assist guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed
- open all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
- assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries
- provide guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms and amenities of the facility as well as main attractions in the area
- deliver messages, items and guest amenities as requested
- shuttle guests to appropriate approved places
- explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival
- issue claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collect claim checks from all guests prior to issuing keys
- complete and maintain all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, location of vehicle, damage survey and claim check receipt
- calculate and collect revenue for vehicles when needed
