Currently, Towne Park is seeking Valet Drivers to join their team at the Southall Farm & Inn location. This role offers an hourly wage starting at $14 plus cash tips, with potential earnings ranging from $14 to $20 per hour plus an additional $5 to $9 per hour in tips based on experience and performance. Employees in this position are also eligible for medical benefits, including accident insurance, critical illness insurance, hospital indemnity insurance, telemedicine services, and access to a 401(k) retirement savings plan, subject to eligibility criteria.
As a Valet Driver and Guest Service Associate, the successful candidate will provide exceptional hospitality services with a focus on safety, efficiency, and guest satisfaction. The responsibilities include parking and retrieving guest vehicles carefully, assisting with luggage, and ensuring a warm welcome and pleasant interaction with all guests. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle cash and process parking fees accurately. Towne Park offers flexible schedules covering weekdays, weekends, holidays, and all shifts to accommodate various needs. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license for the applicable state or nearby commutable distance
- One month related experience or equivalent education and training
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Ability to perform basic math calculations
- Ability to operate a vehicle safely, including manual transmission
- Physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to maintain professional demeanor and provide excellent customer service
- Willingness to work flexible shifts including weekends, holidays, and all shifts
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Valid driver’s license for the state of work or commutable distance
- One month related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
- Ability to read and write standard English
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
- Ability to add and subtract three-digit numbers and multiply and divide with tens and hundreds
- Ability to perform operations using American money units
- Ability to understand 24-hour and military time systems
- Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
- Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
- Ability to perform parallel parking
Job Duties
- Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with guests, co-workers and clients
- Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet with a professional and friendly manner
- Use guest last names during interactions
- Use salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location
- Practice proper Towne Park phone etiquette
- Park and retrieve vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
- Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed
- Open vehicle and hotel doors for guests
- Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries
- Provide information about outlets, meeting rooms, amenities and local attractions
- Deliver messages, items and guest amenities as requested
- Shuttle guests to approved locations
- Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival
- Issue claim checks after receiving vehicle keys
- Collect claim checks before issuing keys
- Complete and maintain ticket information including key tag, guest folio, vehicle location, damage survey and claim check receipt
- Calculate and collect revenue for vehicles when needed
