Job Description

Towne Park is a leading provider of professional parking management services dedicated to delivering exceptional experiences at diverse venues, including hospitals, hotels, airports, and entertainment complexes. With a strong focus on customer service and operational efficiency, Towne Park is committed to creating a positive impact for its clients and the communities it serves. Known for its supportive work environment and opportunities for growth, Towne Park values employees who take pride in their work and contribute to a hospitality-driven team culture.

This position specifically supports Mercy Hospital, a renowned healthcare establishment that provides comprehensive medical services to patients with empathy and excellence. Mercy Hospital values the comfort and convenience of its visitors and patients, which is why they collaborate with Towne Park to provide valet and guest services. The valet drivers at Mercy Hospital play a crucial role in enhancing the patient and visitor experience by offering prompt, courteous, and professional parking services.

The Valet Driver position at Mercy Hospital is an entry-level opportunity, ideal for individuals seeking a role that requires minimal prior experience but offers a chance to develop customer service and driving skills. Compensation starts at $14 per hour, with additional daily cash tips ranging from $3 to $5 per hour, offering employees a competitive wage that rewards their dedication. The role accommodates a weekday schedule between 10 am and 7 pm, ensuring no night, weekend, or holiday shifts, which promotes a healthy work-life balance.

In this role, Guest Service Associates or Valet Drivers are responsible for the safe and efficient parking and retrieval of guest vehicles, assisting with luggage, and providing directions or information to enhance the visitor experience. They maintain a pleasant and friendly demeanor, greeting guests warmly within five feet and using their last names to personalize interactions. This level of attentiveness and professionalism contributes significantly to Mercy Hospital's reputation for outstanding hospitality.

Towne Park supports its employees with comprehensive benefits, including medical options such as accident insurance, critical illness insurance, hospital indemnity, telemedicine access, and a 401k retirement savings plan. These benefits underscore the company’s commitment to the well-being of its workforce. However, eligibility for some benefits depends on job classification, length of employment, and hours worked.

The job entails physical demands such as standing or sitting for prolonged periods and occasionally lifting up to 100 pounds. The work environment is predominantly outdoors, exposing employees to varying weather conditions, including heat and cold. Towne Park provides reasonable accommodations to ensure accessibility for individuals with disabilities, reinforcing its inclusive employment practices.

Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license and have at least one month of related experience or equivalent education and training. Skills such as understanding customer service principles, basic math abilities, and the capacity to operate a manual transmission vehicle and perform parallel parking are highly desirable. The role requires the ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, and to present oneself professionally in one-on-one and small group settings.

Ultimately, this position offers a dynamic and fulfilling experience for those looking to start or further their career in guest services within a reputable and community-focused organization. Valet Drivers at Mercy Hospital are vital in creating positive first impressions and contributing to a seamless hospital visit, making this role both impactful and rewarding.
