Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license for the state or within a commutable distance
- One month related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of customer service principles
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple English instructions and correspondence
- Ability to perform arithmetic operations with numbers and American money
- Physical ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and up to 50 pounds frequently
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to stand or sit for long periods
- Availability to work weekdays, weekends, holidays and all shifts
- Ability to follow established operational procedures
- Willingness to interact professionally and courteously with guests and team members
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state or a commutable distance
- One month related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of customer and personal service principles
- Ability to read and write standard English
- Ability to understand and perform basic math operations including monetary calculations
- Ability to understand 24-hour and military time systems
- Ability to operate manual transmission highly desirable
- Ability to perform parallel parking
- Effective communication skills in one-on-one and small group settings
Job Duties
- Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with guests, co-workers and clients
- Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet using professional and friendly manner
- Use guest last names during interactions
- Park and retrieve vehicles cautiously and safely
- Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage
- Open all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
- Provide guests with directions, taxi assistance, reservations and information about hotel amenities and local attractions
- Deliver messages, items and guest amenities as requested
- Shuttle guests to approved locations
- Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests
- Issue claim checks after receiving vehicle keys and collect claim checks before issuing keys
- Complete and maintain all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, location of vehicle, damage survey and claim check receipt
- Calculate and collect parking revenue when needed
