The Guest Service Associate position at Towne Park offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who thrive in customer service and hospitality environments. This role is predominantly focused on delivering outstanding service to guests through a variety of duties, including parking and retrieving vehicles, assisting guests with luggage, and providing helpful information about the local area and facility amenities. The position is structured as full-time employment with regular weekday hours, Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with no weekend shifts, offering a stable and balanced work schedule.

Compensation for this role includes an hourly base pay ranging from $15 to $17 depending on location, experience, and skills, complemented by daily cash tips, making it a financially rewarding position. The Guest Service Associate is expected to maintain a friendly, professional demeanor, greeting and assisting guests promptly and respectfully. Candidates must be prepared for physically demanding work, often outdoors in varying weather conditions, and capable of lifting significant weight when helping guests with luggage or related duties.

Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or general education degree
  • valid driver’s license for the state or commutable distance
  • one (1) month related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • basic knowledge of customer and personal service principles and processes
  • ability to read and write standard English
  • ability to comprehend instructions and correspondence
  • strong communication skills
  • basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • understanding of 24-hour and military time
  • ability to operate manual transmission preferred
  • ability to perform parallel parking
  • physically able to meet lifting and physical demands

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • must hold a valid driver’s license for the state you are applying to work, or within a commutable distance from the state you are applying to work (as applicable)
  • one (1) month related experience and/or training
  • or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
  • ability to read and write standard English language
  • ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
  • ability to write simple correspondence
  • ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests, clients and other employees of the organization
  • ability to add and subtract three digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s
  • ability to perform these operations using units of American money
  • ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
  • ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
  • ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
  • perform parallel parking

Job Duties

  • maintains pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients
  • acknowledges and greets guests within five feet with a professional and friendly demeanor
  • uses guest last names during interactions
  • uses salutation of the day and welcomes guests to the location
  • practices proper Towne Park phone etiquette
  • posts up in designated areas when not completing tasks
  • parks and retrieves vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
  • assists guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed
  • opens all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
  • assists guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries
  • provides guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms and/or amenities of the facility as well as main attractions in the area
  • delivers messages, items and/or guest amenities as requested
  • shuttles guests to appropriate places that are approved by the location
  • explains parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival
  • issues claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collects claim checks from all guests prior to issuing keys
  • completes and maintains all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, location of vehicle, damage survey and claim check receipt from all vehicles taken into the valet system
  • consistently completes location on all key tags after parking vehicle
  • calculates and collects revenue for vehicles when needed
