The role of Guest Service Associate at Towne Park offers an exciting opportunity to join this dynamic team. As a Guest Service Associate, you will be responsible for operating within a fast-paced environment, delivering attentive hospitality services that elevate guest satisfaction. Your main duties will include parking and retrieving guest vehicles safely and promptly, assisting with luggage, and providing information and support to guests about local amenities, directions, and transportation options. This role is vital in ensuring a smooth and positive experience for every visitor arriving at or departing from the location.

This position offers a flexible work schedule with shift start times available from 6 AM to 2 PM, accommodating various needs and lifestyles. Additionally, Towne Park offers competitive compensation, with an hourly base pay range of $15 to $17 plus daily cash tips, recognizing the importance of rewarding employees fairly for the exceptional service they provide. Beyond compensation, employees are eligible to participate in beneficial programs such as accident insurance, critical illness coverage, hospital indemnity insurance, telemedicine benefits, and the company’s 401k retirement plan, subject to eligibility based on job classification, hours worked, and duration of employment.

Working as a Guest Service Associate requires a professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills to interact with guests warmly and effectively. Physical stamina and the ability to meet certain physical demands, such as lifting and prolonged periods of standing or walking outdoors, are also essential. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license for the relevant state or a commutable distance
  • One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of customer and personal service principles
  • Ability to read and write in English
  • Ability to understand and follow simple instructions and correspondence
  • Strong communication skills for presenting information effectively
  • Basic math skills including operations with money
  • Understanding of 24 hour and military time systems
  • Physical ability to perform job duties including parking and retrieving vehicles safely
  • Ability to work outdoors for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds
  • Ability to perform parallel parking and operate manual transmission preferred

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state you are applying to work, or within a commutable distance from the state you are applying to work
  • One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
  • Ability to read and write standard English language
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests, clients and other employees of the organization
  • Ability to add and subtract three digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s
  • ability to perform these operations using units of American money
  • Ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
  • Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
  • Perform parallel parking

Job Duties

  • Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients
  • Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet with a professional and friendly demeanor
  • Use guest last names during interactions
  • Use salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location
  • Practice proper Towne Park phone etiquette
  • Post up in designated areas when not completing tasks
  • Park and retrieve vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
  • Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed
  • Open all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
  • Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries
  • Provide guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms and/or amenities of the facility as well as main attractions in the area
  • Deliver messages, items and/or guest amenities as requested
  • Shuttle guests to appropriate places that are approved by the location
  • Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival
  • Issue claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collect claim checks from all guests prior to issuing keys
  • Consistently complete and maintain all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, location of vehicle, damage survey and claim check receipt from all vehicles taken into the valet system
  • Calculate and collect revenue for vehicles when needed
