As a valet, team members coordinate traffic flow efficiently while communicating valet procedures, information, and directions clearly to guests. They uphold safety standards by operating, parking, and retrieving vehicles in compliance with traffic laws and facility policies. Valets also interact with guests warmly, assisting with loading and unloading their vehicles to ensure ultimate guest satisfaction. Detailed responsibilities include collecting and securing guest keys, predicting and communicating traffic peak times, managing tip pools accurately, handling valet payments with receipts, reconciling daily financials, and keeping the work area clean and orderly. This role requires the ability to work extended periods outdoors in various weather conditions, ensuring high performance regardless of the environment.
Candidates must be at least 21 years old, hold a valid driver's license, and be capable of operating both manual (standard) and automatic transmission vehicles. Job Duties
- Coordinate traffic flow
- Communicate valet procedure, information and directions clearly and effectively with guests
- Understand and respond appropriately to basic customer and team member inquiries
- Monitor illegal parking, and immediately store vehicles
- Interact with guests in a friendly manner
- Assist guests with loading and unloading
- Collect and secure guest keys
- Predict and communicate traffic flow peaks and lot issues
- Identify and arrange for extra support for extended wait times
- Accurately tally and split the tip pool
- Receive and receipt a variety of valet payments
- Accurately reconcile and report daily revenue
- Project currency and coin requirements and re-order as necessary
- Operate, park and retrieve all vehicles in a safe manner by obeying all traffic laws, Facility policies, and applicable pedestrian regulations
- Work in an outdoor unprotected environment in all climates for extended periods of time
- Keep work area clean of debris
