With a workforce exceeding 13,000 colleagues, HSHS fosters a culture rooted in core values such as respect, care, competence, and joy. These principles guide all aspects of the organization's operation and care delivery, placing patient-centered service at the heart of its mission.
HSHS is continuously looking toward the future, investing in cutting-edge technologies and advanced treatments to improve overall processes, procedures, and patient outcomes. The system's enduring commitment is to deliver compassionate and efficient care while embracing innovation and fostering an inclusive, supportive work environment for its employees.
The Valet Driver role at HSHS holds great significance beyond just parking vehicles. As one of the first and last points of contact for patients and visitors, the Valet Driver exemplifies excellent customer service and represents the welcoming spirit of the organization. This part-time position, with scheduled weekly hours of 16, offers a pay range between $16.00 and $21.60 per hour, with actual pay dependent on factors like experience, skills, training, certifications, and education.
Primary duties of the Valet Driver include safely operating, parking, and retrieving patient and visitor vehicles, as well as golf carts when needed. The individual also supports guests by providing directions and assisting with wayfinding to ensure a smooth and pleasant visit experience. This role is crucial in facilitating the seamless flow of traffic and parking logistics at HSHS facilities, contributing directly to overall patient and visitor satisfaction.
HSHS recognizes the importance of supporting its employees holistically by offering a comprehensive benefits package designed to maintain physical, emotional, financial, spiritual, and work-life balance. Employees scheduled to work at least 32 hours per pay period are eligible for this package, which includes coverage options in medical, dental, vision, and prescription needs; paid time off combining vacation, sick, and personal days; retirement benefits with contributions from HSHS; education assistance with generous allowances and tuition discounts; adoption assistance; and more.
Committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, HSHS is an Equal Opportunity Employer dedicated to hiring a diverse workforce that reflects the communities it serves. The organization also incorporates advanced tools, including artificial intelligence, to streamline recruitment processes while ensuring human oversight makes all employment decisions.
In summary, the Valet Driver role at Hospital Sisters Health System offers a unique blend of customer service and operational responsibilities vital to the patient and visitor experience. It provides opportunities for personal and professional growth within a healthcare system that values respect, compassion, and innovation, making it an excellent choice for candidates seeking a rewarding career in healthcare support services.
