Job Description

ABM (NYSE: ABM) is a leading global provider of facility services and solutions, renowned for driving cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable environments. Established in 1909, ABM has grown to serve over 20,000 clients across a broad spectrum of industries, including commercial office buildings, universities, airports, hospitals, data centers, manufacturing plants and distribution centers, and entertainment venues. With annualized revenue approaching $8 billion, ABM employs more than 100,000 team members worldwide and operates out of over 350 offices across the United States, United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, and other international locations. ABM offers a comprehensive array of services spanning janitorial, engineering, parking, electrical and lighting, energy and electric vehicle charging infrastructure, HVAC and mechanical, landscape and turf, and mission-critical solutions. Their dedication to quality and customer satisfaction positions them as a dominant force and trusted partner in the facility services industry.

The role of Valet at ABM is essential in providing professional, courteous, and compassionate guest services, making a significant impact on the customer experience. This position offers an hourly wage of $17 plus tips and operates mainly on weekends from 5 pm to 11 pm, making it ideal for individuals entering or returning to the workforce with limited experience or education. ABM encourages veterans and candidates with military experience to apply, underscoring their military-friendly stance and commitment to diversity and inclusion.

As a Valet, you will be entrusted with coordinating traffic flow and effectively communicating valet procedures, information, and directions to guests to ensure smooth operations and positive interactions. Your responsibilities will include monitoring parking areas, addressing illegal parking, collecting and securing guest keys, and organizing support during peak traffic or extended wait times. The role requires a customer-focused mindset, with the ability to interact warmly with guests and assist them with loading and unloading vehicles as needed. Precision and accountability in managing valet payments, tallying and distributing tips, reconciling daily revenue, and maintaining an efficient supply of currency and coins are also crucial components of this role.

Safety remains a fundamental priority in performing duties, which involve operating, parking, and retrieving vehicles in compliance with all traffic laws, facility policies, and pedestrian regulations. Valets must be prepared to work outdoors in various climates for extended periods and maintain cleanliness in their work area. The position requires candidates to be at least 21 years old, hold a valid driver's license, and be capable of operating both standard and automatic transmissions.

At ABM, employees benefit from a rich environment of support, training, and career development opportunities. The company demonstrates a strong commitment to equal employment opportunity, non-discrimination, reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities, and adherence to federal programs such as E-Verify to establish employment eligibility.
