The Pet Transportation Specialist role at Best Friends Pet Care is crucial to the company’s promise of providing reliable and caring transportation services for pets. This position involves picking up and dropping off pets from their homes to the boarding facility, ensuring each pet’s safety during transit, and maintaining excellent communication with both pet owners and management. The specialist must follow detailed instructions given by the pets’ owners, handle pets with care and professionalism, and adhere strictly to facility rules and motor vehicle laws. Beyond transportation duties, this role requires interaction with pets in playgroups, assisting in valet zones, and proper management of pet belongings during check-in and check-out.
Candidates for this role must be physically capable of lifting up to 40 pounds, standing and walking for extended periods, and safely operating motor vehicles. The role demands strong interpersonal and communication skills, a clear and quick problem-solving ability, and a genuine love for animals. Job Requirements

Job Duties
- Picks up and drops off pet guests from/to their homes following all owner instructions
- presents pets to and takes pets directly from owners except when prior special arrangements are approved
- ensures pets are secure in vehicles during transport
- ensures pets arrive safely into the boarding facility
- identifies irregular pet behavior and follows response procedures
- abides by facility rules and motor vehicle laws
- assures owners sign contracts and required documents
