The Guest Service Associate plays a vital role in this mission by delivering attentive and friendly service to all guests. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license for the state applied to or within commutable distance
- One month related experience or training or equivalent education and experience
- Ability to provide friendly, attentive, and efficient guest service
- Ability to safely park and retrieve vehicles
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally and up to 50 pounds frequently
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Availability to work Wednesday through Sunday from 2 pm to 10 pm
- Ability to communicate clearly and interact professionally with guests and team members
- Ability to comply with established procedures and operational guidelines
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state applied to or within commutable distance
- One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
- Ability to read and write standard English
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information one-on-one and in small groups
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
- Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
- Skill in parallel parking
- Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
Job Duties
- Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients
- Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet using guest last names
- Use salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location
- Practice proper phone etiquette
- Post up in designated areas when not completing tasks
- Park and retrieve vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
- Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage
- Open all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
- Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations, and other inquiries
- Provide guests with information about facility outlets, meeting rooms, amenities and local attractions
- Deliver messages, items, and guest amenities as requested
- Shuttle guests to approved locations
- Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival
- Issue claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collect claim checks prior to issuing keys
- Complete and maintain all ticket information accurately including key tags, guest folios, vehicle location, damage surveys, and claim check receipts
- Calculate and collect revenue for vehicles when needed
