We are currently seeking a dedicated Valet Dispatcher in Manhattan, NY, to join our dynamic team. This full-time role offers a wage of $17.00 per hour and provides the opportunity to work with the largest parking network in America. The Valet Dispatcher plays a crucial role in managing the operations of valet attendants by coordinating parking and retrieval of guest vehicles efficiently. You will be responsible for securing and keeping track of vehicle keys, ensuring timely and professional service, and maintaining communication with guests and team members. Additionally, you will monitor guest wait times to maintain high service standards and assist in various operational tasks including answering phones, processing valet fees, and assisting with customer inquiries. This position requires a candidate who is punctual, maintains a neat appearance, and can work collaboratively with supervisors and managers. Experience with valet driving is preferred, and candidates must have a valid state driver’s license with a clean driving record. This job demands excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a busy environment. Job Requirements

Less than high school education or one month related experience, training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
prior valet driving experience preferred
valid state driver's license with current address and acceptable driving record
availability to work special shifts including 2nd, 3rd shifts or weekends as needed
ability to read, comprehend simple instructions, and write simple correspondence
ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations
strong customer service skills
ability to perform basic mathematical operations with money
maintain a neat and clean appearance and uniform at all times
ability to use clock, calculator, or credit card machine if required
maintain pleasant demeanor in telephone and public interactions
ability to apply common sense to follow detailed instructions
adaptability to work environment changes and delays
meet physical demands including frequently changing between sitting and standing and using a phone or two-way radio

Job Qualifications

Less than high school education or one month related experience, training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
prior valet driving experience preferred
valid state driver's license with current address and acceptable driving record
ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle is a plus
ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence
ability to write simple correspondence
ability to effectively present information one-on-one
strong customer service skills
ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using American money units
ability to maintain a neat and clean appearance in uniform
ability to use clock, calculator, or credit card machine for transactions
strong communication skills including telephone etiquette
ability to apply common sense to follow instructions

Job Duties

Ensure the timely dispatching of valet attendants to park and retrieve guest vehicles
monitor the amount of time guests wait for their vehicle to ensure it meets the property's service standard
assist with the safe moving of guest vehicles in the garage and guest areas as needed
secure and keep track of all guest vehicle keys
accept and process valet fees if applicable
answer the telephone using proper telephone etiquette
inform customers of valet rates and provide directions to local landmarks and streets
respond to customer questions and issues promptly and courteously
report any accidents, policy violations, safety hazards, or unusual occurrences to supervisors or management
assist the ramp supervisor in maintaining a clear ramp area
help maintain the cleanliness of the garage office area
be on time for scheduled work days
maintain a neat and clean appearance and remain in complete uniform during shifts
assist supervisors and managers with additional duties as assigned
