The role of Parking Attendant at OhioHealth is vital in ensuring a positive first and last impression for patients, visitors, and associates. This position is responsible for shuttle driving, valet services, and parking maintenance, embracing versatility to cover various parking department functions based on business needs or staffing changes. Attendants are entrusted with safe transportation of individuals within the campus, providing courteous and professional service while adhering strictly to traffic laws and safety protocols. They also assist customers with mobility concerns using appropriate equipment and techniques, such as wheelchair lifts and secure tie-downs. Valet duties include greeting customers, documenting vehicle conditions, safely parking and retrieving cars, handling payments, and maintaining clean, clear entry and valet areas. The role demands reliable customer service skills and a commitment to maintaining security and confidentiality of sensitive information.

This position requires a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and the ability to operate both automatic and standard transmission vehicles safely. Candidate qualifications include at least two years of related experience or training, ideally complemented with a high school diploma or GED. OhioHealth provides comprehensive training within 90 days for basic driving safety and vehicle operation.
