Job Description
The Garden of the Gods Resort and Club, located in the scenic city of Colorado Springs, is a renowned luxury resort that blends natural beauty with exceptional guest service. The resort offers an inspiring environment surrounded by the famous red rock formations of Garden of the Gods Park. Known for its top-tier amenities, luxurious accommodations, and commitment to delivering extraordinary guest experiences, this resort is a premier destination for both guests and members looking to enjoy refined hospitality combined with the allure of nature. As a respected property within the hospitality industry, the Garden of the Gods Resort and Club upholds a culture rich in tradition, values, and a mission to enrich the lives of all who visit and work here. The resort is deeply invested in providing a supportive, dynamic workplace that encourages personal and professional growth among its team members. The employment opportunity as a Valet/Bell person is a key role within the front office department, reporting to the Director of Front Office. This role is foundational in creating the first and lasting impression of the resort's quality service and dedication to welcoming guests. The Valet/Bell person will be responsible for assisting guests and members from their arrival to departure, presenting warmth and hospitality that reflect the resort’s high service standards. Typical duties include valeting guests’ vehicles safely with vigilance towards key security, assisting with luggage, providing shuttle services, answering guest inquiries about the property, and ensuring overall guest comfort and satisfaction. This position requires an individual who can maintain calm professionalism in a fast-paced environment and who is adaptable and responsive to guests’ and colleagues’ needs. The candidate will be expected to deliver the resort's 'I Am Proud' service standards and foster communication channels crucial to cross-department collaboration. Furthermore, the individual will actively engage in service recovery to resolve any guest issues promptly and effectively before departure. Beyond the immediate guest interactions, this role supports the resort’s culture by upholding its brand, vision, and values authentically. It also requires a knowledge base of the hotel’s and resort’s facilities and services and the ability to recommend local dining and activities to enhance the guests’ experience. The Garden of the Gods Resort and Club values team members who treat guests with respect and courtesy using proper telephone manners and who can embody and promote wellness and the STRATA virtues in their daily work interactions. This full-time position seeks candidates with at least a high school diploma and a valid driver's license, with prior valet or bell person experience seen as an advantage but not mandatory. The resort emphasizes safety and professionalism and provides ongoing training in these areas. Employment here promises a career path within a thriving luxury hospitality environment where every day presents opportunities to engage with guests, grow in skills, and contribute to a memorable resort experience while enjoying a diverse and supportive team culture.
