The role of Valet/Porter at Asbury Automotive Group is integral to maintaining the high standards of customer service and operational efficiency within the dealership. Valet/Porters are responsible for safely and efficiently managing customer vehicles, supporting service advisors, and maintaining the organization of the service drive. Essentially, the Valet/Porter acts as a vital liaison between the customer and the dealership's service team, ensuring that each customer interaction is handled with care and professionalism. Duties include greeting customers promptly, assisting with vehicle check-in, moving vehicles safely within the dealership premises, and adhering to strict key control policies. Moreover, the individual supports dealership operations by collaborating with various departments to facilitate smooth vehicle deliveries and uphold the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI). The position requires physical stamina to work outdoors and on feet for extended periods, emphasizing safety and attention to detail. Job Duties

  • Greet customers in a timely, friendly manner and obtain vehicle information at the customer's vehicle when possible
  • Assist the Service Advisor in helping customers while maintaining organization in the service drive
  • Move the customers vehicle following the greeting process as outlined by management in a safe and secure manner
  • Retain keys according to departmental safeguard procedures
  • Actively promote effective working relationships with associates and departments in the dealership
  • Follow dealership specific procedures for active vehicle delivery of the customers vehicle resulting in return visits and admirable (CSI) Customer Satisfaction Index
  • Readily assist fellow dealership personnel in completing the work necessary to ensure full functioning of the dealership
  • Ability to work outdoors and on your feet for extended periods of time
